Executive Producer Dan Lohmann is also one of the founding members of Pikewood Creative, helping to launch the company in 2003 even before it was named. Dan’s experience as a business leader coupled with his ability as an artistic innovator gives him a unique advantage as he oversees the shooting, editing, and producing of each project.

Dan’s enthusiasm and talent for video production and editing led him to work in the production department for the host broadcaster for five Olympic games: Vancouver 2010, Beijing 2008, Torino 2006, Athens 2004, and Salt Lake 2002. Dan also worked with the Pittsburgh Pirates as the technical director for the In-Game Entertainment department, and was a producer at Mountaineer Sports Network while he was getting his master’s degree in sports management from West Virginia University.

Among many awards and honors he has received, Dan earned an Emmy for a United Bank television commercial, and was honored by West Virginia Executive Magazine as a Young Gun winner, one of ten influential rising leaders in West Virginia.

What started as a love for shooting and editing sports footage has developed into a passion for telling every story with meaning. Dan’s objective is to produce visually spectacular results while capturing the client in an honest way that connects with viewers. His hope is to extract genuine emotion from everyone who sees his work.

Dan graduated Cum Laude from Bethany College, earning a bachelor of arts in communication. He also holds a master’s of science in sports management from West Virginia University. In his free time, Dan likes to play recreational hockey, watch sports, and spend time with his wife and two children.
